Yahoo plans for Tumblr leaves media behind

by Bernard-Charles

Kara Swisher and Peter Kafka are on the out list for Yahoo’s official event covering the company’s plans to buy out Tumblr for 1.1 billion dollars. The reporters from AllThingsD.com (a technology website) were the first to report on the social media deal according to The New York Times.

Swisher tweeted the response from Anne Espiritu, Yahoo’s public relations leader.

This is disheartening that a reputable news site that reported the news first isn’t given a valid opportunity to appear at the event. I am very certain that more so-called established news sources will be there to cover the news rather conservatively as this is a world motivated by nickel and dimes. Like my mom has always said “Money talks and bullshit walks.”

Personally, I think Swisher’s and Kafka’s article reporting the acquisition of Tumblr is well written and does reveal some positive nature of the business transaction. Nothing too outlandish to get banned from the event. So why?

No comment from Yahoo authority. Just a speculation that they don’t have enough money to buy more space to accommodate everyone. I mean who really has a billion dollars to buy out at a fan infested hipster blogging company anyway. Don’t even get me started on the Tumblr-porn agreement.

Picking a school and a career

Ellen inspires me everyday

by Bernard-Charles

To grad-school or not? Ivy league or community college? Questions swarm the everyday student and it’s a huge task at hand because it is believed by many to determine the future. Our value is integrated in grades, education and money but what we often forget is how to properly weave all aspects of our life.

Inspiration is often dismissed nonchalantly by every day people and we often make the wrong choices and need to spend more of our time, worth and energy to fix those mistakes. Look at how many students transfer schools, change classes and their major. Some have no idea what they want to do because of all the offered choices. I am here to relieve some of that blurry vision with my own story.

I like many students had no idea what I specifically wanted to do with my life. I broke down in front of adults that kept encouraging me to make a choice. This was constant until one adult figure in my life helped me to see my own light. She lives in California with her beloved wife and dogs.

Ellen DeGeneres is my inspiration because of her dynamic personality and thoughtful tendencies to help people. As I watched her talk show, I had the epiphany that I could be a television talk show host too! It was life changing and profound. An intuitive knowing poured over me as I set out on a journey to be America’s Future Talk Show Host. Being exactly like Ellen, isn’t my point or mission, but offering people the way to see their own light and learn from their story is my purpose.

Yes, you may not know what to do, but you should have at least one person that motivates and inspires you. Taking this energy you can plot a point on your heroic map to set out for a quest of self-discovery. Taking a chance means you care and once you have the gusto to move forward you can execute your vision physically with a vision board. Cutting and pasting images and words that resonate with the real you helps remind you everyday that you’re on this journey and I encourage you to place a picture of your idol on it to be a guiding spirit through it all like I have.

Change takes natural time so the best way to feel out picking the right school or career is to be open to synchronicity and following that helpful intuition of yours.

May Cause Miracles: Intuition is HOT!

by Bernard-Charles

As I am writing this post to you, just know I am overly hot and feel like I need to be quick with this one. Today, reminded us to be submissive to our inner guide and allow it to show us the way.

The affirmation for today -

Inner guide, I welcome you to show me where to go, what to do, and what to say.

Last night, I had trouble sleeping because my lack of direction for my concrete world is shifting fear in my life and I needed to release my worries to the Universe. I called out loud asking for the Universe to give me a sign about what I should do. This is very relevant with today’s message because listening to our inner selves (intuition even) has a magical effect.

The advice that I received was to wait. Yup. This Aries is being told to wait…wait…and wait some more. It’s been two weeks since my social media manager interview and I was told not to get discouraged as this corporate position takes time so meanwhile I have been pep talking with myself and going over the flow of the interview in my head a little too much actually. Probably letting it go for a higher purpose is the best solution because constantly reviewing the details and quirks of the interview is suggestive and can be easily manipulated into something fearful by the ego.

My miracle moments -
  1. Cousins on Call – This terrific renovation show on HGTV made my day because they love their passion and appeared on The Ellen Show to help a couple in need after Hurricane Sandy.
  2. Cheeseburgers – My mother’s deer burgers were full of flavor today. Very proud to have a talented mother.

So there, a great sacred journey thus far and I am so grateful to be able to share it with you. How did your day go? Check out the Day 37 morning reflection vlog and let me know if My Inspiration Network can help you out. Thanks for reading. :)
