Love is one of the most important emotions that we experience on this realm of existence. The love that we know here goes with us when we return to the Other Side. Love exists in all things, between all types of people, without regard to physical appearance or where they live. There is romantic love, platonic love, and the love of family and friends. Each type of love is important because love touches us on a soul level.

Frequency is the energy of the Universe that exists in all things. Each one of us, as unique spiritual beings, has our own personal vibration, called frequency. If you connect your frequency with the powerful emotions of love, then you can elevate your core soul essence to great heights. You will experience growth in all areas of your life because you’re approaching it with an elevated frequency of love.

Since Valentine’s Day is today, let’s look at some ways that you can increase the frequency of the romantic relationship between you and your significant other. By implementing these actions you will not only gain a deeper connection with one another, and improve your relationship, but you will feel balanced, centered and more focused in your interactions with one another, which will also enhance your personal spiritual growth.

Go Back to the Beginning

If you’ve been dating or married for a while then you may feel that the energy in your relationship is one of the same of day-to-day routine. The high frequency energy that surrounded the two of you in the beginning may have lowered. To get out of this pattern and give your relationship frequency a strong boost, go back to the beginning. Think of the time when you first connected with one another. Do you remember what that feels like? Revisit events that you shared through discussing them with each other or by going to the places you used to frequent when you first met.

Make an Effort to Please

To elevate your relationship frequency, make a concentrated effort to do something nice for your significant other. And if you’re on the receiving end, make sure that you express your gratitude for what your partner has done for you. This can be as simple as cooking a special meal, gifting them with a poem or taking them to a special place that they like. Whatever you do for your partner, make sure it comes from the heart, without expecting something in return, for that will not only raise your relationship frequency but your personal frequency as well.

Eliminate Negativity

When things aren’t going well in your romantic relationship, it’s easy to become negative and blame one another for the problems that are happening. Release all negativity surrounding your relationship and start today on a new page, a clean slate. Take responsibility for your part in where things are going wrong and work hard to fix them instead of blaming your partner. When you eliminate negativity from your relationship, the frequency surrounding it will automatically rise.

 Once you’ve returned to the roots of your relationship, are making more of an effort to make each other happy and have eliminated negativity, you will often find that your love blossoms and the soul connection between the two of you deepens. Your love relationship is strong and the energy surrounding the two of you is positive and in forward motion. You’ve successfully ignited a frequency boost in your love life.

It was a lovely weekend to just be lazy. But I did have some minor homework to consider like memorizing a monologue, but I simply was in the mood to soak up inspiration rather than make any moves.

I watched a good portion of Netflix to pass the time. Films included: From Prada to Nada (2011), Waiting Forever (2010), Helvetica (2007), The Answer Man (2009), A Month by the Lake (1995), and Making the Boys (2009).

Making the Boys was probably the most heartfelt film that I watched this past weekend because it talks about a perspective of gay culture that I have been expressing for a while. Today’s gay children do not take much gratitude in the events that lead to today’s freedom of expression. For example, The Stonewall Riots in 1969 and the influence of The Boys in the Band. It’s sad that not enough people seem to show interest in the liberation movement. Those that do, I respect. As a result of the film it sparked an inclination to revive an interest in supporting the movement. How can I help with the solidarity? Well, I am writing this blog post to start.

The understanding of play-writing and the little history recap of the gay rights movement did motivate me to contemplate on what I should be doing to progress as America’s Future Talk Show Host. Ellen DeGeneres has been an inspiration to plant the seed in my mind, but the ground is so tough to plow that I am having an arduous workout trying to get my name out there, impressing people to rely on my abilities, and learning the ropes of journalism and media as a whole.

I have come to a conclusion that trying to understand how media and social media works today is good, but I cannot strive on that alone. I need real world insight. How do I do this? Well it first comes to writing down my affirmations and goals for this career.

Being realistic with oneself is a task in itself, but is absolutely needed. Especially with a career goal that I have. “Being famous” may come across as the ultimate goal of my dream, but  I am telling you that it is so much more for me. I want to achieve this dream for my family. I just use fame as an umbrella term to capture the energy of my dream.  I grew up poor and I’d like to step far away from that because I know I can. I have the freedom to do so, but for those who cannot, I’d like to use my resources to help them. As well as aspire to be a walking representative of the low-income families that did not meet the karmic levels to proceed with their hopes and dreams.

Philanthropy is something I learned by attending the Milton Hershey School.

Another theme in my aspiration is to teach. I always admired teachers and their ways to communicate ideas and opinions so fluidly. Those are the people that should be the ones idolized. They are indeed the wise folk in the tribes, yet have fallen short in the modern society. Their competitors are the media and celebrities. It would be nice to be able to offer knowledge and teach people values.

In all of this, I guess I have soaked up different concrete things that I would like to accomplish during my life. A bucket list if you will for this future talk show host.

1. Write a book
2. Talk to already established hosts and shows
3. Act in movies/commercials 
4. Speak at schools
5. Guest appearances
6. Community Service: Paint a building wall
7. Host award shows
8. Continue blog writing
9. Invest in the Illuminati (haha)
10. YouTube Show

These all are bricks completing my castle in the air.

So I have currently used social media to spread the word about my quest and am sitting until someone can show enough belief in me to  help me out. Allies are probably the most important tool to have in your dream satchel. They are people who can share compassion and strength for you and your visions. Picking these people wisely and nurturing the seeds that you both plant for each other is essential to success.

I have marvelous mentors in my life to help guide me in the direction of my dream. But I will be graduating very soon. Potentially next semester, so I am starting to feel the pressure of needing a job lined up upon graduation. I feel like my work ethic and devotion to my dream should surely prove my competence for any establishment but I cannot simply rely on that alone.

If my allies could seek out ways they can help me would be helpful and appreciated. I am not someone to come out face-to-face to talk about these concerns, because I am humble and respectful. I don’t want to come across as taking advantage of my elders. I will let divine timing take its course and let my allies know that  I am seeking out assistance and wisdom from them with this post . I am certainly not going to let anyone’s help slip away unnoticed.

I just want to encourage you and others to have a little faith in people.

My Netflix viewing was much more than filling my time with entertainment this past weekend. It allowed me to strengthen my insight on my life and decide what I can do to make my dream a step closer to completed.

JC Penney was recently criticized for choosing EllenDeGeneres as their spokesperson. And One Million Moms is the thorn causing all the negativity. The boisterous whiners claim on their online site that JC Penney is simply pulling a monkey see monkey do act.

By jumping on the pro-gay bandwagon, JC Penney is attempting to gain a new target market and in the process will lose customers with traditional values that have been faithful to them over all these years.

It doesn’t take a detective to understand JC Penney’s new direction for wanting to expand their target market. Why OMM do you have to present it like the store wants to act in secret. Companies like to expand their market. This means more money. I personally would love to expand and gain more dollars.

This is not DeGeneres’ first spokesperson job. Do you remember when she was working the camera for COVERGIRL? I don’t think COVERGIRL users stopped loving the makeup when DeGeneres appeared as the anti-aging model and sure enough they didn’t.

According to United Entertainment Group (the marketing agency that assisted with COVERGIRL campaigns with Taylor Swift,  Queen Latifah, and Ellen DeGeneres)  the relationship between COVERGIRL and DeGeneres was “unique and unexpected.”

We quickly built a strong relationship with Ellen’s team that enabled the brand to get the most out of the partnership and create a ground breaking campaign that drove a magnitude of sales growth not seen since in previous years.

My case is affirmed.

Now what does this mean for the LGBTQA youth who look up to DeGeneres. Well, there is always hope and DeGeneres shared her points on this matter Tuesday by publishing this YouTube video.

Here are the values I stand for: I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated, and helping those in need…

These values that DeGeneres stands for should bring all youth together because love is certainly stronger than the societal chains of homophobia and bullying. If Ellen is your idol and inspiration, then I encourage you to stand up for what you believe in and not back down from people like One Million Moms.

I am a die-hard fan of any and all things Sandra Bullock. My mom introduced me to Bullock’s skill and talent a very long time ago with her favorite movie Practical Magic (1998). Sally Owens, a mom of two, lives in a modern world where witchcraft still frightens people and resorts to denying her powers.  The only magic that wakes her up from this denial is the power of self-acceptance.

Bullock’s talent in Practical Magic woke me up to see that my mom is a person just like Sally Owens. A whimsy and mystical woman with great potential to heal the ones she loves, yet goes through self-sacrifice in order to recognize an inner power.

Paramount Pictures

In Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2012), Linda Schell (Sandra Bullock) copes with the loss of her husband (Tom Hanks) and the struggles of her son, Oskar (Thomas Horn) as the United States is attacked on 9/11. However, the movie is not centered around Bullock, but of Horn’s character, a nine-year-old adventurist. The journey of one boy’s mission and the connections he makes with the people of New York could not have been more inspiring.

This movie, that opened on January 20, 2012, wasn’t a box office hit or highly rated by acclaimed film critics. According to Tom Long, film critic from The Detroit News, the movie is “crass” and added that “obnoxious” should be included into the title.  To close his review he remarks

“Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” is the kind of movie you want to punch in the nose.

I did notice that the star ratings for the movie were extremely low, but was astonished throughout the film. “How could a Sandra Bullock film be so poorly rated?” I asked myself over and over again while eating some popcorn. Then it occurred to me that Sandra Bullock was in this move for a reason. Some compelling piece of Linda Schell resonated with Bullock’s personality.

As Long mentions that the “horror of 9/11 with a cutesy story about a boy’s unlikely quest…as crass,” I am here to say that this movie was much more than an example of what Long refers to as “chutzpah.” As an award winning actress, Bullock ultimately has the decision to act in a movie or not, so clearly there must be a stronger theme in this film besides the historical event of 9/11 to entice Bullock-goers. Movies like The Blind Side (2009), Premonition (2007), and Hope Floats (1998) all capture the roller coaster of being a mother and expressing the flow of love.

A bond between mother and child could not have been more suiting for Bullock’s role in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close; she probably wanted to connect with Linda Schell on a maternal level, since she is raising baby Louis in real life. Something male critics may not have enough insight for.

I agree that the September 11th attacks aren’t something of playful nature, of course, but in the movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, the revelations of dealing with grief and death are universal and aren’t just solely equated with what happened on 9/11. People who are young and old deal with grief and loss differently and all have treasures to unlock.

Perhaps Tom Long wasn’t noticing the extremely loud and incredibly close signs of human connection with love while he watched the film. Or maybe he got up and used the bathroom and missed the important scenes. No matter what happened, he is entitled to his own opinion. I guess the saying goes for reviews too, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close breaks the common patriotic theme of 9/11 and settles on a louder and closer story that hits home for everyone. We never truly understand just how far ahead the maternal intuition is in today’s age.
