PrilosecOTC announces Bernard as official TV Host

Prilosec OTC’s Official TV Host

Pursuing a passion that many do not believe in for themselves, Bernard has been awarded recently by Prilosec OTC’s Official Sponsorship competition as The Official Prilosec OTC TV Host! Thanks to all of your dedicating votes and inspiring comments left on Bernard’s sponsorship application, he is able to go to Los Angeles in April to a reality television convention as well as participate in workshops to better his on-camera and behind-the-scenes portfolio. Since Bernard achieved this, he would like to encourage you to apply for a Sponsorship to continue doing what you love to do without the heartburn!

I am so very excited for this opportunity! Thank you Prilosec OTC for breaking those “rules of sponsorship” and truly allowing the individual people have the chance to continue following their passions! I do hope by me making it this far, it helps encourages others to do the same. Now, I plan to use this opportunity to go to LA and meet with fellow Alumni in the area from my school to get a feel of what that city is like. Also, I do hope that if anyone needs an official TV host, I can certainly be there–but more so if anyone needs a friend. I can do that too! Thanks again Prilosec OTC for your amazing efforts in helping people.

And behold! The great and honorable Bernard-Charles is up for running as the official PrilosecOTC TV Host!

Yeah, big deal!? For me it is, but I would like to say I simply ran into this opportunity and have no idea really how I got there besides the power of Google. I simply Googled my way to this possible sponsorship by searching on how to get a sponsorship and there at the bottom of the screen was an ad for PrilosecOTC giving away these sponsorships. So my curious self clicked on the that annoying Google ads that we see swarming over the internet and WHALA! Exactly what I can do to try and get myself out there even more. Not saying this blog isn’t doing the trick….it is, but I do not sit down and write everyday. I am going to digress for a moment. Yes, I feel like you have to write everyday to keep that passion flowing into your creativity. Practice! Practice!—So my own little goal for WordPress is to get Freshly Pressed, by writing everyday.

Now, reeling it back to my earlier point of the sponsorship.

PrilosecOTC is medication for heartburn, now my good ripen age of 19, I do not have heartburn, because well I am young. But figuratively, my heart does burn to become a television talk show host and we all know who gave me the inspiration: See About Bernard! So yeah, with this opportunity I plan on expanding my television exposure, public speaking opportunities, and of course BRAND BRAND BRAND for ‘OTC.

So this post hopefully answers some of your questions as to why the hell is there a purple and pink voting booth on the side of the screen—well folks, you can help me achieve this dream and help other people realize that heartburn should not stop you from doing what you love to do!

Please Vote* 4 Me, THANKS!

*Here are the official voting rules: Vote Once per day/per email! So you can vote every single day until October 15th at 12:00pm, but only once per day/per email. Example– Person A:  WwW1234@gmail.com can Vote for me once every day using that email.

Emmy Winning Host Mentors Me!

21 Jul

By the good light that shines in people’s hearts, I am proud to be a young 19-year-old that can honestly say that he has marvelous people in his life! If you are my dear friend, teacher, or a two-time winning Emmy TV talent, artist, model, and actor then your support means a lot to me as I move forward into my college career and beyond the red carpet as America’s future talk show host. I thank you.

Well, I cannot stress the importance of networking and being proactive, because the benefits are so much greater than the agony of waiting. This is true since I was determined to follow my career goal and manage to nail my first internship as a freshman in college, I made it my own mantra to Network to the high heavens. And well it is paying off.

I met with an alumnus from my school, his name– Tim Estiloz. Yes, Estiloz is a two-time  Emmy winning Broadcast/Journalist with all sorts of neat passions like his “God-Given talent” drawing as he put it.  I am so thankful for his sincerity and willingness to guide me on my way to entering the good, bad, and ugly of the entertainment industry. We chatted for about an hour or so over some delicious pizza and soda about just the mere beginnings of my questions. I thought about making a enormous list of dos and don’ts while he spoke, but simply my mind was captivated by how well he communicated his ideas and how sincere his statements were. I could not have asked for a better person to help me along my way.

Being here in Boston, I learned that there is a lot of diversity and every person has their own unique story to tell. Although Estiloz did not recite a long dramatic monologue about his life, I honor that he was very forward and upfront about his journey to where he is today. Grant it we only had about an hour, so really who has all that time to talk about every little detail about their tears shed and what not. I know I can’t squeeze all of my life in an hour.

I really enjoy being around someone who is in the field that I want to pursue. I  grew up being surrounded by teachers, doctors and lawyers, and only at the age of 14 I would long to be in touch with someone who is on TV. Well, my chance has come and I am taking every life lesson that Estiloz advises me on, because I do not want to waste his time nor ruin a perfectly constructed bridge. This among many encounters with professionals, I must say has been my favorite because–well to put it childishly curious–he has interviewed Meryl Streep. What an honor! For both parties.

Meryl Streep carries this energy about her, and I sense it as she acts as a broken hearted mother not knowing the identity of her daughter’s father or as Runway’s editor-in-chief (Miranda Priestly).

Yes, the joy of interviewing celebrities. Just another perk that I value.

We finished our meal promptly and headed out the door. Before we departed into the hustle and bustle of the 6 o’clock crowds, he did mention “I am just Tim.”  And I took this comment as a gentle sign that this very busy and dedicated worker has a heart of gold and really just wants to pass the torch down to the next person and all I could say was ‘I am honored.”

Hey, Tim if you are reading this. I mean that too! Really cool to be under your wing!
